Terms

These terms govern the purchase and use of Subtitle Managic (“the software”) from Filmium GmbH (“we”, “us”).

1. License

The software is a one-time purchase. On payment you receive a perpetual license to install and use the software for personal and commercial work on a limited number of your computers; the number of computers (seats) included is stated on the product page. The license is yours to keep — the software keeps working after the update period ends.

2. Free trial

You may evaluate the software free of charge for 30 days. After the trial, a license key is required to continue using the full version.

3. Updates & support

A purchase includes 1 year of updates and support. After that year the software continues to work; you may optionally renew updates and support for a further year for EUR 39. Renewing is not required to keep using the software.

4. Payment

Purchases are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record. Polar’s terms and tax handling apply at checkout, and Polar issues your invoice and license key. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.

5. Right of withdrawal / refunds

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies (e.g. for EU consumers), note that for digital downloads it may lapse once the download has begun with your consent. Refund requests are handled together with Polar; contact us and we will help.

6. Acceptable use

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share license keys, nor attempt to circumvent the licensing. You are responsible for backing up your own subtitle and project files.

7. Warranty & liability

The software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted, Filmium GmbH is not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for loss of data. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

8. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of Filmium GmbH in Bern, Switzerland, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
